Synopsis: Cho Yeo Hwa has been a widow for 15 years, living quietly at home during the day and never venturing outside. However, unbeknownst to her in-laws, the most prestigious noble family in the area, during the night she clandestinely jumps over the wall, offering help to those in need. Her encounters with Park Soo Ho, a senior officer who is successful at his job and has an attractive appearance, make her begin to dream of a better future. I have a question in this drama era, can widows remarry?
Saying that I am obsessed with this drama is an understatement thank you to whoever suggested this drama to me as I was on the fence on whether to start it or not! Having felt this squeely and excited for a historical since under the queens umbrella!! Ps I have watched the ml in another drama and man did he have a major glow up here!! And I seriously want to squeeze the FL cheeks she is the cutest and so very hilarious I love her!!

Well no, not really. For men, I’m not sure. I believe they can, but women are not allowed or not supposed to. They are even expected to follow their husbands to death or mourn for them their whole life… The issue is depicted in this drama.
but it’s based on historical facts. Park’s Marriage Contract also dealed with that practice of the family of a virtuous (=self-killing) widow getting the highest rank and rewards.
