1. so after all this good suffered for ages and wicked gone in one arrow! what justice!!! poor Jiang was given a miserable death…he was the most favorite and lively character in the whole drama! but they got him killed…another is SZ brother! his character was wasted like hell..atleast she could have told she can be his sister for life but they dint!! we could have a heir for jiang also 🙂

2. I don’t know if we will get a second season but I am pretty sure that meant he is not the real mastermind, he also had someone above him.

   I am still so pissed jiang died, BXS sitting at his grave reminiscing made me really sad. This woman kept chasing this man only for him to die. They did not even spend a lot of time together

4. So who’s the number 1?
   I’m not enough of Li Ge Yang. While waiting for episode 27 I watched “Supervisor Husband”, he is a good kisser. Lots of kissing scenes. Hehehehe. I need to watch “The Soulmate”.

5. So the curtains remain open for this story about truth, death, identity, secrets, love & justice. Honestly this story doesn’t really warrant another part. Especially w/ so many stories closed.
   Pros:
   – A few of the actors were okay to pretty good. Standout for me would be Wu Jia Yi. Xiosheng was a very fun & expressive character.
   – Story was pretty fun & I did enjoy how most everything came together. I also enjoyed many of the cases granted some of them felt more effort was put into than others.
   – Some okay to pretty good filmography too. VFX & Special FX are good. Visually it’s actually quite nice & I like the grey tone over the overly bright standard look they usually use.
   Cons:
   – Ju JingYi could probably use more directing & work honestly. Her performance as Zhi was actually more interesting than YCW. YCW is very much her usual acting.
   – A couple of moments had me questioning the logic of what’s happening. Good example is the Big Bad left his ledger in the same Safe that Jiang found. TIan~ah. That was dumb.
   – Some cases weren’t given as much thought & were just like okay that’s it. Some characters were given the same treatment. A few things felt brushed off too quickly.
   – Some production quality is just average too such as dancing, medical aspects or even action.
   Personal Score: 7/10 A very basic mystery series w/ much of your average story points. I liked it for what it was & honestly could tell it wasn’t going to wow me.
   Objective Score: 6/10 It has a nice visual & the story flows well. But there are some points that are rushed, forgotten, underwritten & such. Still a decent watch.

6. After the sadness, the justice being served …they missed a great opportunity to add some lightness …should have end with the detectives celebrating the return of their favourite couple!
   Anyway, what’s done is done.
   Comment from Episode 1:- Ju JinYi did improve a bit….I don’t know what happened to her talent from “Legend Of Yunxi”….she needs to keep on developing her talent.💟

7. It’s interesting how I couldn’t skip a scene when it started but from mid to end, skipping became the best part of the show. Am excited for a second season? No. Will I rewatch this? Just the first 10 episodes only.

8. Drat. He did die. Boo… I liked Jiang. This was a speedy ending hahaha they did NOT need this many episodes. And the Jia dude died so quickly and so unsatisfyingly too.

   So the Jia dude was only ranked number one and the hand flipping the number one is…. TBD. Season two, I guess we will find out. Wondering if they will also make BXS preggers with Jiang’s baby…

9. OH?? so that was the end part. Case close and the culprit dies.
   What is Pan Yue’s position then, when the everyone almost didnt believe him solving that case? It took too long solving for a bad needle in the haystack in 32 episode. 🤔?

10. Points to a possible second season. If so, the comment made by the 2nd couple actors that they had a HE and the fact that the single memorial paper money floated away may indicate that Lanjiang’s character might come back.
    They ended up showing more passion than Pan Yue did.

11. what did that ending mean ??

    edit: i just remembered:
    those plaques and the number on them indicate the line of command in this secret society. the prince consort, who we had assumed was the big boss would have the plaque that has the number 1 on it but it doesn’t – someone is even above him and he’s already at such a high position.

    and it looks like at the end MLs dad has a sudden epiphany …

    sad to see two of my favorite characters go. there’s enough material to make a second season and i wonder if that’s what they’re aiming for? does anyone know?
