3. Wow talk about totally too little too late, proving the Ye family was innocent years after all are dead even the last member. Why wasn’t the case reopen earlier? I think it’s because if the Ye family was innocent then that prince would not been able to marry Wen Jun since the imperial edict of the previous emperor still stands and She would have married Ding Zhi. What they didn’t show is how Dong Jun’s love got killed and by whom. Also they been together for years and they still haven’t gotten married?!? Chen Feng married his girl right away and already has a kid. Dong Jun, talk about taking it molasses slow.

4. EPIC story telling at its finest ... everything was beautifully done from the sets to the scores to the choreography to the acting … the villains are epically villainous and the heroes were heroic … just magnificent 💯🙌

   For me my favourite part of the story was the brotherhood between Baile Dong Jun, Ye Yan and Sikong Chang Feng … that was so pure, so precious, supporting without suppressing each other’s dreams and personalities … there was such a beautiful innocent optimism about them (well before Ye Yan got smashed … but even so it was still there)

   I loved Master Li Chang Sheng / Nangong Chun Shui …. so funny, so wise … they had swagger and great equanimity and 無為 wúwéi). Similarly his number one disciple Jun Yu is like a little clone of him … liked these characters alot.

True to form Wen Jun comes back again when it is far too late … the horse bolted long ago … I hate the Wen Jun character …. and then she says … after so long she wants to fiind Anshi / Wuxin … OMG stay the F away from him you cursed woman … she is already wrecking her first son’s life and now she wants to do the same for her second son … OMG … I never liked her in TBoY and I have disliked her even more in this series.

7. There seem to be missing portion to this narrative before the event in The Blood of Youth. One is the death of Yue Yao which made Baili Dongjun a recluse. In other words, there must be some epic moments in the 12 years between the two series. Also, in the Blood of Youth it would seem the younger generations martial skills are a tad weaker by comparison. I know the 12 years are rather boring in terms of development, i wonder will they explain how and why Yue Yao took a blade through her heart.

9. Yi Wen Jun had 2 years to return back to Ye Ding Zhi’s side to stop him from doing wrong deeds. She had options.
   But she returned when Ye Ding Zhi was about to die. I can never forgive her. She messed up everything. I couldn’t enjoy the last moments of Ye Ding Zhi with Baili just because of her screaming and crocodile tears. This bitch ruined everything. I was hoping fr someone to slaughter her.

   dingzhi wasted his precious life fr a vulture like her. 😭😭😭 my man died just like that.

10. Even though I know this was how it would play out, I am still kind of pissed that the royal family still stands, especially since in Blood of Youth not damn thing changed. They learned nothing and didn’t become better people. That’s the most frustrating thing to accept. Usually after a rebellion there is some change, but nope nothing. Hell not even WenJun changed. She walked right back into her pretty cage.

11. i applaud this drama for having a strong finish, and pushing me towards TBOY (deff gonna need to rewatch that now) which is what good prequels do. ye dz’s tale kept me glued to the screen until the end, props to that actor too, and baili dj wrapped the rest up satisfyingly.

    my main criticism is that the drama had just way too many characters (all who were interesting btw) and not enough of a central story which is why it often lacked cohesion. also the brotherhood in this didn’t really ‘brotherhood’, there were moments, and there’s the last few eps, but for the most part no. but this was entertaining, and bonus points for the good ending.

12. Woman like wenjun should be barren n used like a use n throw. Just like her first husband. No man should love her. Sad nobody killed this woman. At the least dongjun should’ve slapped the 💩 out of her.

    Hanyi was an absolute brat with her blind ideology. The one who thinks they r the righteous but in reality just a nuisance. That’s wt she z. Someone should take her internal strength n let her live cleaning the house.
