  1. Her becoming “the empress” on behalf of her brother makes sense cuz lets be honest for a moment the crown prince wasn’t crown princing at all !!! His sister literally paved everything for him, without her he would’ve been dead long time ago!!

  2. It took a whole building on fire to shut that guy up. Blah, blah, blah…. what a narcissist.

  3. The ending was actually satisfying, i was hoping the more fit for the throne would be the bearer.
I think the sad part must be how the kids lost their parents while they kept fighting, Su rong going even more delusional and well few other things but I won’t spoil further.
There’s plenty fun in the beginning of this series and hopes for future in ending.Pei stood by, and prince showed humility. There’s equal strength, smartness and greatness from characterz.
I loved how Li Rong stood tall amongst all chaos. Li Rong & Pei was beautiful pairing as expected. The empress was wrong.
I am waiting for subs to be able to understand more.

  4. Even though I skipped a few scenes here and there because it was too much screentime for Su Rong Qing and he annoyed me too much… but this drama was actually good. It has a great lesson about life: just because the past was bad it doesn’t mean the future will be, your life is made of the choices you do in the present. We can make our future better if we fight hard for it.

  5. She confessed this new life is good for her.
Actually, he did enjoy a happy life with Li Rong in the previous life cycle. But, he doesn’t seem to think so…

  6. I think i’ll come back to this drama when I have nothing else to watch. I skipped from episode 15 to 20; then 28 to 32 then to 40. With a lot of scene skipping. Ooh I browsed 34 and 35 based on what was commented.

Besides the production company making a mess of this possible great story, SRQ’s wet look (I lack a better word to describe his appearance) annoyed me. The focus on him made it worse.
Li Rong dwelling on the past and making the ML a simp, also played a role.

I think reading comments also contributed to the too much skipping I did.

When the hype and noise subsides, I might come back to watch it quietly.

However, I do feel that the writers and directors tried something new but ended up messing it up.

I hope the ML chooses a better script after this.

I rate it 3/5 for now. A missed opportunity.

Lesson: don’t dwell on the past and forgive yourself, others and past mistakes, but learn from the past.

  7. I do recommend this Cdrama. Although too much screen time for a pathetic character. Too many excuses from the writer in regards to his lack of conscience. As if anyone can cummulate wrongdoings after another and at the end get a pardon in a legal sense.

  8. The ending was fitting. There’s nothing more to say except that I’m satisfied. Pei was entirely correct about Su Rong, who reminds me of the saying, “made his bed and now must lie in it.” He chose to confuse right with wrong and kept making excuses to justify his actions.

    Takeaway:
The past is behind us, and the present is now. No one knows what the future holds, but we can use lessons from the past to make better and more informed decisions today.
