This is a good thought provoking psychological thriller. It shows psychos come form different backgrounds. The male enjoyed killing women and the spoiled brat girl to get rid of what she didn’t like and to get what she wants. Both are inherently evil.
The revenge of the son of the poor frog family is somehow justified to prevent the smug serial killer from publishing his book. IRL serial killers get book deals knowing it will have an audience. They, the publishers, and the readers couldn’t care less if the survivors/victims suffer for eternity.
I really wanted to like this drama but… it is just too tedious. I hate when writers make storylines unnecessarily complicated. the study like about the hotel and the serial killer was just unnecessary, it added nothing to this story.
they could have left it at the psycho rented and the landlord. and I don’t understand why the landlord didn’t go straight to the police after he saw the video, why did he destroy every evidence? makes no sense to me.
i like the cinematography though, 6/10.
Well nothing great, direction was quite confusing in the first half, only thing i liked was how the police chief was quick in grasping things n saved the daughter, can watch once
I disagree with most of the comments here. For once the pacing was really good, the plot was plotting with no plotholes like the story was actually going somewhere (looking at you No Way Out: The Roulette) & brought something new + the actors did a fantastic job. 8.5/10. Would recommend !
THE COMMENTS SAYING THIS IS NOT GOOD, OR SO-SO, EASY, OR WASTE OF TIME DIDN’T UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH OF THIS DRAMA AT ALL! It infuriates me how the future watchers can be gone becoz of those rates. This deserve recognition, yk?!
10/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The director really said “SIKE” at the end >< with the psycho being almost not killed gahaahaahhaha
SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️
Jeez, 8 episodes were too long for this story only for the antagonist to take the easy way out. the ending is so-so, she deserved to suffer more but oh well. I think things could have been wrapped up sooner in as much as 6 episodes. It got a bit slow-paced and dragging at the middle. Not to mention, the juxtaposition of the past and present events seemed kinda messy. I was having a hard time figuring out where to focus and how everything would eventually connect. Anyway, the most notable and enjoyable moment of the series would be Roh Yoonseo and Go Minsi fighting, along with Koo Giho’s revenge plan succeeding. Gosh, his daughter’s actually smart and is also a decent fighter. I was so impressed. All in all, it was still a good watch and I’d give it a 6/10.
so as a conclusion, the drama is cinematic and it is kinda okay okay not than bad not that good, cinemtography and soundtrack are on top tier, the acting of the versatile actors and specially go minsi is outstanding no doubt, the psychological elements are too good but the story seems little messed up and slow paced, the starting was powerpacking but it lost it’s shine at the end but all total it’s alright. one time watch is enough for it
so i’ll give it 6.5/10
p.s- actor chanyeol and yeonseo nailed it as usual
To summarize :
A feel good coming of age story but with murders.
A man that lost the love of his life shut himself out from society but found himself thrust into a situation that eventually open his heart to other people and shed his selfishness and stubbornness.
Meanwhile at the same time, a boy that guilt stricken must strive to become a man and push through to succeed in his endeavor.
such a waste of time don’t bother watching this snoozefest.
Waiting for review.
