2. Chika, sweetie, what’s with those shoes? They look like she stole them from her bro and are two sizes to big for her. This thought is very hypocritical of me as I have similar shoes, just in proper size.

   Also, girlie is a little delulu, no? Super cringe when she was asking him if she should buy the necklace as if he declared love just because he said it suits her. That rejection was to be be expected.

5. Apart from Strawberries being significant because of the title, I also think there is more to its constant reappearance. Why does mystery girl like strawberries so much and why is it never available for her? Are they trying to tell us something? Also, I’m starting to feel like strawberry has become the unofficial desert of LGBTQ. They’re trying to say something about Hikaru liking strawberry milk and mystery girl not liking it. I think it’s more than just pointing out that they are not compatible/want different things. There’s an emphasis on Hikaru not liking real strawberries. Are they trying to point out that he’s in love with the fantasy of mystery girl instead of the real thing?

   Now onto mystery girl. I’m 💯 percent sure that she is the girl from the video but what I’m less sure of are her motives for getting involved with this group. She likes having fun with Hikaru but is this because she’s trying to relive her school days and isn’t really aware of the group dynamics or trying to get with anyone. Is she just there for the shits and giggles? Or is she acutely aware of everything and is trying to force the issue one way or another. Either by trying to get them to realise their feelings and make a move or is she having fun getting in between them? Personally, I don’t think she is malicious but idk, those looks that she gives Ryo and Chika are making me form theories in my head. 😅

   I remember in the second episode I suspected she was ‘looking’ looking 👀 at Chika. I sort of got the same vibe today. Is she unwilling to become Hikaru’s gf because she does not feel that way about boys? The flashback of mystery girl in this episode seemed like a jealous argument to me. It seemed like the person behind the camera wanted to posses her but she didn’t want to be possessed. Does she not want to be boyfriend and girlfriend because of this bad experience from the past?

   Finally, Chika. Although she definitely should have known better, I can say we have all been there. Technically she’s no different in her unrequited love than Ryo. We just have the foresight that Ryo’s unrequited love will be successful so it doesn’t feel as unwanted as Chika’s. Also, I think unlike Chika, Ryo is not holding out any hope. He’s loving Hikaru in silence without reading into anything. He wants to make Hikaru happy and doesn’t expect anything in return. He doesn’t take Hikaru’s actions of being ‘nice’ or ‘helpful’ to him as a sign that Hikaru might like him, where as Chika does. Tbh I don’t think Chika confessed because she thought it was finally happening for her. I think she confessed because she was finally seeing that it will always be hopeless but wanted to know what he thought of her since he was always being so kind. Kind of like a “why are you being so kind to me if you don’t like me” confession but of course no one is ever prepared to be rejected, even if they think they are. It’s always gonna be a blow to the heart.

   A side note about Hikaru: Two things happened in today’s episode that’s starting to make me wonder where his mind’s at. First, is it just me or did he realise something about mystery girl when she repeated the same phrase in this ‘reshoot’ that they couldn’t make out in the original video? Is that what that was or was he just mesmerised by her beauty? *hahaha* 😅 The reason I think this, is because I don’t think his look was one of infatuation or googly eyes 🤩. It looked like someone making an unsettling realisation.

   Second, notice how he always seeks Ryo out in a low-key subtle way. He notices Ryo more than what’s let on. Ryo isn’t the same with Chika. He never seeks her out and only ‘notices’ her when she comes to him.

   I also have a bone to pick with this series. I hope this doesn’t turn out to be one of those bls where the leads get together because it doesn’t work out with the person one of the leads was previously infatuated with or dating. This always feels like second choice syndrome to me when they do this and try as they may, they can never get me to believe that the leads would have ended up together had the previous infatuation not worked out (I’m looking at you Light On Me). 👀

6. This ep was so disappointing from like all directions.
   Hikaru not seeing that Minami insta friendzoned him from はじめまして, Chika knew before that Ryo was never interested, Ryo for even showing up and Minami who looks like she is lying. Like y’all just stressing me out.
