  1. Funny how in Japanese dramas, when something important happens, the main protagonist has to run a million miles to get where they want to be ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ … how did he get to the batting venue … run … so now he has to run like crazy to Mitsuya’s … like there is no public transport … so funny LOL ๐Ÿ˜„

  2. Dogs just know stuff … they know us better than we do ourselves ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ™Œ … loved this HE and so glad Frito was a part of it ๐Ÿ˜Š

This was very well done indeed … I have seen so many comments bagging Japan for their ‘cheating’ tropes … as if the rest of the world was pure and chaste … but Japanese authors / scriptwriters provide us with such an incredible thought provoking bag of human experiences … experiences the majority of dramas shy away from taking a deep dive into. This series was superb in its simplicity … and yet it covered so much. Good stuff ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™Œ

  3. What a beautiful finale that was!! ๐Ÿฅฐ

I loved this show all through…. the gentle pace, the realistic treatment of their story, the amazing food, how their love and bonding was nurtured against all odds….all of that made for a really engaging watch…and also made for a strong message against the all pervasive, and toxic ageism that we see in the entertainment world, and definitely in the BL universe…

I had expected Ishida to do the running-trope at the end, as is usual for many JBLs, and behold ๐Ÿ˜˜

I just loved when Frito sensed Ishida, and went out to wait for him at the gate…the tender vein of belonging and familiarity in that one small move was so apt for Mitsuya and Ishida’s love story ๐Ÿ’—

I hope they make more like this…

  4. This series was so wholesome. With an age gap relationship the judgement and social disapproval is inescapable. I like that they didn’t shy away from including that aspect.
Mitsuya making Ishida a whole feast for breakfast made me envious ๐Ÿคค to be loved and cherished by a chef must be amazing, especially when you’re having cravings.

  5. What a delicious ending, quite literally๐Ÿฅฐ I was so excited when we got the final subtitles to the rest of this series today bc itโ€™s an unexpected, wonderful little gemโฃ๏ธ I had to re-watch bc the flow of not having watched the last 2 episodes the past weeks made me forget some details. Anyways, I can personally relate to this as I had a similar love story to a much older man when I was in my early 20s. There were similar convos about future family plans, work-life, etc., but it was a relationship full of love, respect and admiration for one another, where there was understandably hesitation at first for both of us โ€“ sheer panic at times๐Ÿ˜… We were together for some time and eventually decided to be friends and we had a strong friendship for yrs after that. I even dressed similar to Ishida with sneakers, backpack and everything, lol I appreciated this unconventional story bc it portrayed a taboo type of age-gap relationship in a non-scandalous manner, which I absolutely lovedโค๏ธ

    ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคง …

Sometimes we fear what we donโ€™t know or understand๐Ÿ˜”
