1. Im glad they use the old actress for the scene when Jiang Xing Bai found her, usually in other series, they change the actress to the young one. They really gave the viewers such a long happy ending. This crews are such party go’ers…LOL… the dance at the end credit was refreshing to see that they are all having fun! Overall, its an average drama, not the best but enough to keep you going. Will look forward to Leo Luo future projects.

4. I started the show for the main characters. I enjoy both of them a lot, especially the male lead, and I stuck with it. However, it was a hard watch for me. Out of 40 episodes, I think I might have enjoyed 10-12 episodes, including the finale, without fast-forwarding. They lost the plot somewhere trying to fill 40 episodes. Usually, I’m okay with a senseless plot, but there were so many potholes, the show became a plot abyss. I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to the Korean version just because of face blindness and shapeshifting. Different time, different story.

   I’d give this a generous 5.5. No rewatch value. Maybe they’ll upload a couple of edited episodes on YouTube for the main characters’ fans out there.

5. I was grinning happily for the last 20 min of this episode. 😊Btw the woman acting as MC for the wedding ceremony was having way too much fun, lol

6. I skipped like the last ten episodes. This drama just got super uninteresting after Xin Bai was promoted back into the inspection office. I hope y’all have watched the korean version, which I think does a better job with the pacing and script.

   And more cute scene between nanxing and xinbai 😏😏
   So whats with the heartbreaking episode 2 episodes to ending

I think the saddling Xinbai with face blindness and a rather sober personality when interacting directly with Nanxing made some people say that the chemistry was lacking. i think that Xinbai should have shown more facial reaction akin to a blind person. There are certain innate facial expressions common to blind and non-blind people. Not all are visually learned nor dependent on seeing the other person’s reaction. Have Xinbai show no reaction to facial expressions but respond to the speaking and also the context of the dialog. I also thought that Commander Shang should have retained some of his stick up his bazoo personality when he was falling for Sai’er who should have retained her rough uncultured personality. She should kept some clothing or mannerism to contrast with the city women. His love for Gaya could also have been a stumbling block that kept him apart from Sai’er. I also think that Suoluo should have been more active in resisting her engagement with Yan Biqing. She should also have actively chased Ruoqian against the wishes of her Mother and her family. It would have suited her take no prisoner war with her brother. And it would stand in contrast with the other two couples. Just my two cents worth. I did enjoy the drama very much.

9. The dialog subtitle should appear longer than the song lyrics. Punishing the viewer who knows no Mandarin nor cannot read hanzi.

11. Ok, I gave up the series & just came to see what the finale looked like (which seems to tell me the story isn’t heavy), but I got to admit that Bride-choosing-sedan scene was very cute.
    Might attempt to rewatch, but probably not.
